Welcome. Brave Enough.

Welcome! If you have landed here, you might be looking for ways to learn more about identity, culture, and inclusion. If you browsed our site, you may have gathered that I am a strategist and coach – who also loves public speaking.

For me, a blog combines writing as a creative (and sometimes cathartic) outlet and a way to impact learning (another deep passion).

This blog is a place to share and amplify the voices and experiences of others, a cross-section of topics that help us bridge differences and foster inclusion.

Here is the thing, effective inclusion and collaboration requires some vulnerability from each of us. We cannot engage in authenticity and psychological safety, without it! Research shows vulnerability is a measure of courage (thanks Brene Brown). Which means expect to experience discomfort. It will happen.

Embracing the discomfort while taking action, is what I like to call being BRAVE ENOUGH.

“Brave Enough” is where you do not allow fear, uncertainty, or discomfort to hold you back. You lean into the discomfort and move to action. Sometimes it is with big life choices. Often it means having a conversation. Asking the question. Being a disruptor. As the late Rep. John Lewis says “get in the way” with good trouble.

I have got some practice at this so I will go first. I hope you choose to engage. I hope the blog might be a place to activate a community of people bridging differences.

We all can choose to learn, grow, change, and repeat!

Thanks,

Jami de Lou
